Guido Pizzini is an Independent Humanitarian Consultant and has more than 10 years of professional experience as a humanitarian information manager with multiple UN, NGO and International Organisations at the field and HQ levels.

 

Guido is an Internationally recognised expert in the fields of Emergency Needs Assessment, Analysis, Information Management, Data Visualisation and Humanitarian Project Management.

 

Throughout his career, he has been deployed to several humanitarian large scale operations and has been on more than 30 field support missions.

 

In 2020, he has been the project manager of the DEEP Governance Board and a Mentor at the ACAPS Humanitarian Analysis Programme.

Guido has contributed to numerous reports and publications and is the co-author of an IFRC study on aerial assessments named “Images from Above” and has co-authored the IFRC World Disasters Report 2020.

Guido is fluent in English, French and Italian and is an active volunteer of the Italian Red Cross. He is an active member of the IFRC Surge Information Management Support (SIMS) Network and is an Advisor of the Humanitarian UAV Network and Member of the DEEP Governance Board.

Guido is a member of the following Rapid Response Registers of technical experts:

  • iMMAP, Information Management and GIS

  • MSB, Information Management and GIS

  • IFRC, Information Management, Needs Assessments and Team Leader

  • Netherlands Red Cross, Information Management and Needs Assessments

  • World Food Programme, Operational Information Management

Currently, Guido is the Global Partnerships and Surge Coordinator at iMMAP.
